Flavor Trends for TEA in 2024
With our feet planted solidly in the new year, let’s peek into our crystal tea ball and see if we can get ahead of flavor trends for 2024!
In the year past, we saw increasing interest in green and black teas in general, which doesn’t mean that herbals are giving up their reign any time soon. Herbals are still in high demand, but we are happy to see our good friend camellia sinensis staying popular!
Dessert teas – Consumers love a good indulgence, even when they are trying to watch their diet. Our decadent teas are still great for your menu and fly off the shelves! Coming on strong for the months ahead are:
Butterscotch – Whether due to the popularity of HP fans and Butterbeer or a nostalgic favorite, this tea is proving popular. Delicious as a latte with a topping of whipped cream and some crumbled toffee bits. Yum!
Black Forest Cake – Chocolate, cherry, and crème set the stage to delight your customers! Perfect for special occasions and as an after-dinner delight!
Autumn Mist Green – Crème Brulee vibes are strong with this tea! Simple rename it as you see fit and it’s a dessert-lover’s dream! Creamy decadence in a green tea base. Truly a crowd pleaser!
White Chocolate Peppermint Rooibos – White chocolate is having its day! We paired it with uplifting peppermint in a caffeine-free rooibos base for an anytime pick me up. Pick it for your menu today!
Florals – Modern day consumers love the aromatherapeutic effects of floral teas and the delicate beauty! Everyone seems to love lavender these days, but the trend doesn’t end there. Here are some suggestions:
Lavender Lemon – This beauty of an herbal blend is captivating and uplifting. Soothes the soul while lifting the palate. Caffeine-free to keep the calm.
Summer Rose – One of our favorite iced tea options, it recalls the ephemeral aroma of summer roses on a garden trellis. Summer comes closer with each alluring sip.
Jasmine Phoenix Pearls – The belle of the ball with gorgeous hand rolled tea leaf ‘pearls’ that offer the hypnotic scent of night-blooming jasmine.
We hope these help you plan the tastiest and most successful tea menu for the months ahead. Check back here for updates to trends that we note. Wishing you a very good year!
